It’s National Arts in Education Week (September 13–19, 2026)! 🎉🎨🎵 This week, we celebrate the transformative power of dance, music, theater, media arts, and visual arts in our schools. The arts help students build critical thinking, confidence, and resilience while discovering their unique voices. A huge thank you to our incredible fine arts educators who inspire and guide our students every single day! ✨

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a time to share not only stories, but also the facts that remind us why awareness and action are so important. Every September, the gold ribbon calls attention to the reality that thousands of children face cancer each year. 

September is Suicide Prevention Month

At our school, creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment for our students is our top priority. We are focused on kindness, connection, and reminding every child that their voice matters, they are valued, and they are never alone.

Parents and guardians, you are our biggest partners! Take a moment this week to check in with your child, listen closely, and let them know it's always okay to share their big feelings.

Celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month! 🌎

From September 15 to October 15, our school community proudly celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month! This month-long celebration honors the rich histories, vibrant cultures, and incredible contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

The celebration begins on September 15 because it marks the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, followed closely by Mexico and Chile.

We encourage our families to share their stories and traditions with us as we celebrate the diverse voices that enrich our school every day!

We want to extend a massive thank you to our incredible IT Department. From keeping our classroom technology running smoothly to managing secure networks and supporting digital learning, their behind-the-scenes work keeps our entire school community connected every day.

We especially want to recognize Mrs. Dasari at SJE, who works hard to keep all things technology working for our students and staff!
