Welcome to The Standard (aka Walnut Grove High School),

As the proud principal of Walnut Grove High School, I am thrilled to welcome you to our community and share the remarkable achievements of our inaugural year. As we embark on our second full year, we reflect on our journey with immense pride and excitement for the future.

Since opening our doors last school year, Walnut Grove High School, the third high school in Prosper ISD, has established a tradition of excellence that sets a high standard for all others to follow. Our athletic programs soared to new heights, with 11 out of 13 teams making it to the state playoffs. We celebrated seven district championships, five state qualifiers, and crowned our first state champion. Our fine arts programs achieved superior ratings across the board, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of our students and staff.

Our cheer program had an outstanding debut, placing 7th overall in their first UIL competition and winning the award for best fight song performance in class 5A. Additionally, they claimed the NCA National Championship in their first NCA Competition Cheer Event, demonstrating their exceptional spirit and skill.

Academically, our students excelled in the classroom, earning multiple All State Academic recognitions in both fine arts and athletics. We are proud to have four National Merit Semi-Finalists and to have finished 4th in our inaugural academics competition.

Our campus motto, "All In for The Standard," embodies our commitment to building on the successes of our first year. We strive to be the high school that others look up to, setting the standard for academic, athletic, and artistic excellence.

Thank you and we look forward to another year of outstanding achievements and to continuing our journey of excellence at Walnut Grove High School.

Go Cats!
