Jan Brown

Coach Jan Brown served as the Prosper High School Head Tennis Coach for 30 years and as an Assistant Basketball Coach for 2 years. Her athletes qualified for States and Regionals in every division from 1A up to 5A, with one of her athletes still playing professionally. Coach Brown was named Men’s Coach of the Year in 2007 for District 9-3A. At Prosper High School, she taught English and Pre-AP English. She led a Leadership Class, where she introduced “Relay for Life” to Prosper ISD, one of the American Cancer Society’s largest fundraising events. Her students were named Team of the Year for raising the most money in the nation by students. Several of her students continued her example of servant leadership by starting “Relay for Life” at their colleges. Since retiring, Coach Brown enjoys staying active with her grandsons.

Donna Elliott

Donna Elliott is recognized as the Prosper ISD Athletics Community Supporter. She served on the Prosper ISD School Board from 1984-1991, was President of the Booster Club for several years, established Eagle Moms in 2000, was PTA President for several years, kept books for both girls' and boys' basketball games at PHS from 1986-2002, and was past president of the Prosper Ex-Student Association. Donna, a 1971 Prosper High School graduate, was a student-athlete and the only freshman starter on the varsity A-Team. She was awarded 1st Team All-District her sophomore, junior, and senior years and received Best Player and team high scorer awards several times. Donna was named “Most Athletic” during her sophomore, junior, and senior years.

Craig Hamby

Craig Hamby, a 1978 Prosper High School graduate, excelled in football, basketball, baseball, and track & field. He was named 1st Team All-District Running Back during his junior and senior years, 1st Team All-District Linebacker his senior year and scored 27 touchdowns in 8-2 season his senior year.  Craig was a 4 time regional qualifier in the 4x100 and 4x400 relay races during his freshman, sophomore and junior years; was 1st Team All-District in basketball his junior and senior years and was a 3 year starter at 2nd base on 3 Bi-District Champion teams at a time when that's as far as the Class B playoffs were allowed to go by the UIL.

Hunter Nix

Hunter Nix, a 2009 Prosper High School graduate, was the Captain of the 2008 State Championship football team and was named the 2008 3A State MVP. He received Honorable Mention Academic All-State and Academic All-District honors. Hunter was a three-year varsity letterman, a three-time All-District pick in baseball as an outfielder, and served as Vice President of the school’s FCA Organization.

Marvin Williams

Marvin Williams, a 1981 Prosper High School graduate, was a standout in football, basketball, track, and baseball. In football, he earned 1st Team All-District honors his junior and senior years and won the Associated Press award during his sophomore, junior, and senior years. In basketball, he received All-District honors his junior year. In track, Marvin was the regional champion in his junior year in the 440-yard sprint and placed 4th in State. He served as his class treasurer during his freshman and sophomore years and as class representative in his junior year.
