Program Evaluation & Information Services

The Program Evaluation Department is responsible for ensuring data is accessible and actionable in order to support instruction.  By providing information needed to allocate system resources and support campuses, the department reinforces the Curriculum Department in its vision of providing learners an aligned, well-articulated and assessed curriculum that is engaging and innovative while reaching the specific and diverse needs of all students.

Prosper ISD utilizes a model for collaboration known as Professional Learning Communities, or PLC.  This type of collaboration between educational professionals fosters a deeper understanding of the teaching and learning process. PLCs rely on data to provide clarity regarding the daily decisions being made regarding instruction and learning.  PLC conversations revolve around four questions:

What is it we expect our students to learn?
How will we know when they have learned it?
How will we respond when some students do not learn?
How will we respond when some students already know it?

The use of data is a vital component in a PLC.  The Program Evaluation Department operates to ensure programs, assessment systems, and data effectively support instruction and high student achievement.
