Students in grades 2-5 are invited to participate in Rucker Elementary #ProsperInnovates. Projects will be due Tuesday, March 5th.
Kindergarten and first grade will be doing an in-class project together. The primary purpose of #ProsperInnovates is to develop skills in critical thinking, research, problem-solving and the use of the science and engineering principles. Students are encouraged to develop a project that is relevant to the real world and interesting to them! Although this is an at-home project, the student’s teacher and librarian will have suggestions for topics, and will be available for advice. However, the primary initiative and responsibility belongs to the student. Parents, and other adults are encouraged to assist as necessary, but each student participant must be able to demonstrate, explain, or describe their project, what was done, the materials used, and the purpose or intent of the project.
A packet of information is available online or in paper form. Within the packet is a registration form that is due back by February 15. To find the information online, please go to the following link- https://sites.google.
We look forward to another great year of innovation!
