HIGHLIGHTS: Prosper ISD is sending two Engineering teams to F.I.R.S.T. World Championships

While some people dream of a future where robots are in our midst, the Prosper ISD Engineering/Robotics Teams are making their dreams a reality.

Team with robotThe PISD Engineering/Robotics team was established in 2015 and students from both PISD High Schools (soon to be three) work together on cross-high school teams. 

This season was the first for the team to introduce their second robot, which won the Highest Rookie Seed award at the Texas State Championships.  Both teams won awards at the Regional level.
 
Fort Worth Regional   
  • Team 5411 - Innovation in Control Award
  • Team 9105 - Event Finalist - 2nd place
  • Jack Cooksey - Dean's List Semi-Finalist (individual leadership award)
Amarillo Regional  
  • Team 5411 - Engineering Inspiration Award
  • Team 9105 - Rookie Inspiration Award, Highest Rookie Seed Award

As a result of their competition success, BOTH Prosper ISD teams will be moving on to the F.I.R.S.T. Robotics World Championships which are April 19 - 22, where they will compete against teams from across the U.S. and 50 countries!
