In Prosper ISD, we encourage participation in a wide variety of activities, including our very own Bass Fishing Team. 

Prosper ISD's Bass Fishing Team operates through the Texas High School Bass Association. The team consists of 21 students from PHS and RHHS as well as 6 students from McKinney Boyd because they don't have a team. 

The team competes throughout the year arriving on site around 4:30 am for a competition start time around 6:30 am. The competition doesn't end until 3:00 pm and the team is usually not done with weigh-in until around 5:00 pm making for a long Saturday on the water. 

This committed team has had a busy schedule this year competing at the following tournaments:

• Texoma - 9/17/2022
• Lewisville - 10/15/22
• Ray Roberts - 11/12/2022
• Ray Hubbard - 2/11/2023
• Texoma - 3/11/023
• Regional at Ray Roberts (10 of the Prosper teams made it to Regionals on 4/15/23)
• State will be at Sam Rayburn and Prosper has qualified a team to that tournament on 5/20/2023 - 5/21/2023.

The team was awarded #1 Team of the Year in the North Texas Division out of 42 schools. The north division is the largest division in the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA).
