As a parent, I am thrilled with the quality of education that my children are receiving in the Prosper Independent School District. We love the feeling of community and caring that we see every day in our interaction with the teachers, staff, and administration. It is my strong desire to see that the district maintains this level of excellence for years to come. This will be no small feat, however, in the face of the challenges lying ahead of the district—challenges from a slowing economy and challenges from the return of the growth that we know is ahead of us someday. In both my career and my community service, I have led organizations through periods of both high growth and painful slowdown. I recognize the challenges of maintaining a culture of excellence through these turbulent times and relish the chance to be a part of the team successfully navigating the waters together.

We are fortunate to live in a community that demonstrates such an extraordinary level of support for the school district and recognize there are very high expectations for excellence. I am committed to ensuring that we continue to strive for excellence on all levels in PISD, amidst the phenomenal growth, by providing the very best facilities and educational opportunities for our children, an exceptional learning and growth environment for our teachers, and being fiscally responsible to our community.

My children have each been PISD students since Kindergarten. Our family has experienced growth in the district when PISD expanded from its third campus, Folsom Elementary to now. I have spent the last eight years volunteering on five campuses, getting to know students, parents, staff and administrators. Equally valuable, I have become familiar with the processes and systems that PISD relies on to provide an exemplary experience for all.
I realize how important preparation, organization, readiness and communication are as we are poised to dramatically grow in the near future. My heartfelt goal is to help PISD maintain its focus on the highest quality education, character development and positive impact the changes will undoubtedly have on our children. I am honored to serve as a PISD Board member.
