Richland High School, Prosper ISD’s fourth and newest high school, launched its Forthcoming celebrations this week. The parade took place Wednesday, Sept. 3, with the first Forthcoming football game set for Friday, Sept. 5. A unique alternative to Homecoming, Forthcomings are designed for schools that have not yet graduated a senior class. The name looks ahead to the future, signifying the promise of a true Homecoming in the years to come.

The parade featured similar homecoming traditions such as decorated floats and performances by the Raider Marching Band, Cheer Squad and Drill Team. The week of celebration will culminate in a varsity football game and a Forthcoming dance.

More than just a week of events, Richland’s Forthcoming builds on Prosper’s long tradition of pride and unity. It brings students, families, and the community together while weaving Richland seamlessly into the spirit and identity that makes Prosper ISD so special.
