Prosper ISD is proud to celebrate 24 outstanding students who have been named National Merit Semifinalists in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Representing all four of our high schools, these students have distinguished themselves as some of the brightest scholars in the nation — a recognition earned by less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.
As Semifinalists, they now move forward in the competition for nearly $26 million in scholarships to be awarded next spring. Beyond their remarkable test scores, academic achievements and community involvement, these students embody the leadership and excellence that define Prosper ISD.
Their achievements shine a spotlight on individual dedication and the supportive teachers, families, and community that empower them to reach their highest potential. We are proud of their accomplishments and excited to watch as they continue to inspire and lead into the future. |

Two Homecomings down, two to go! Walnut Grove kicked things off with a parade that filled the streets with school spirit, laughter, and tradition — a reminder of how special this time of year is across Prosper ISD. Students showed off their mums and garters, paraded their floats around the school and celebrated the community with performances and more.
With two more parades, Friday night football games and dances still ahead, September is all about celebrating together and making memories that will last well beyond the fall - Together We Prosper.

September is National Suicide Prevention Month — a reminder that mental health matters just as much as physical health.
At Prosper ISD, our counselors are here to listen, guide, and support students when they need it most. For parents, it’s never too early to start conversations about mental well-being. Children’s Health offers practical tips for approaching these talks with care and confidence — helping you keep the door open for your child to share what’s on their mind.
