| | | | | Boyer and Windsong Ranch Named Model PLC CampusesBoyer Elementary In the notification letter to Principal Bill, the review committee praised Boyer’s submission, stating that “many characteristics stood out in your application. You and your team are to be commended for telling such a cohesive story about your PLC journey. Your collective commitment to what it means to be an effective PLC was obvious.”
This recognition reflects the hard work and unified vision of Boyer’s educators, who have embraced the Professional Learning Community model to ensure high levels of learning for all students. | | Windsong Ranch Elementary In the notification letter to Principal Qualls, the review committee highlighted several standout practices from the campus’s application, including: -
Consistent academic growth across grade levels and subject areas. -
Strong instructional foundations, supported by pacing guides, unpacked standards, and the use of Know/Show Charts aligned with TEKS for teacher clarity and consistency. -
Robust intervention systems, featuring a WIN schedule embedded into the school day and clearly defined process expectations.
This recognition celebrates Windsong Ranch’s dedication to creating a culture of collaboration, clarity, and continuous improvement for all learners. | | Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are built on the belief that student learning improves when educators engage in continuous, job-embedded learning themselves. The PLC framework is guided by three core principles: A relentless focus on learning. A commitment to building a collaborative culture. A results-oriented approach.
To be named a Model PLC School, campuses must meet rigorous criteria: they must demonstrate a deep commitment to PLC concepts, implement those practices consistently for at least three years, and provide clear evidence of improved student achievement. Once measurable results are achieved, schools share their practices, structures, and culture in a detailed application reviewed by the PLC Review Committee.
The Champions of PLC at Work® note that honorees have shown “a sustained commitment to helping all of their students achieve at high levels” and a willingness to reshape their structures and culture to uphold that mission. Prosper ISD congratulates these campuses for achieving this important milestone and for their continued dedication to excellence in learning for all students. | | | The administration provided information on the following topics6.
