In Prosper ISD, leadership isn’t limited to the administration, but is nurtured in classrooms, too. That’s the vision behind the Teacher Leadership Institute (TLI), a program Prosper is proud to bring to its educators through a partnership with N2 Learning.
Now in its second year, TLI has given two cohorts of Prosper ISD teachers, one from each of the district’s 32 campuses, the opportunity to step into a unique role of serving as leaders among their peers. Each participant is hand-selected by their principal for their influence and dedication, making it both an honor and a responsibility to be chosen.
“What surprised me most was how much personal reflection was involved in the process,” Windsong Ranch Elementary Third Grade Teacher, Mandy Wilcox, said. “I expected to gain leadership strategies, but I didn’t anticipate how deeply I’d examine my own beliefs, biases, and leadership identity. That internal work made the learning far more meaningful and impactful.“
