A record-setting crowd of 2,645 attendees explored what's ahead. Prosper ISD successfully concluded Launch Your Journey this week across all four high schools. This initiative was designed to provide middle school students and their families with essential insight into future academic and career opportunities. The events drew a tremendous turnout, with more than 2,600 attendees participating throughout the four nights.
The four informational sessions empowered middle school students with the necessary knowledge to actively plan their future pathways ahead of the 9th-grade transition. Each session began with a group presentation detailing more than 70 diverse programs and industry-based certifications available upon entering high school. Students and families also had the opportunity to tour the classrooms and engage directly with teachers to gain a firsthand understanding of each program's curriculum and requirements.
Attendees explored signature programs including JROTC, Automotive Technology, and Construction, and learned about the three distinctive academies offered at Richland High School: Cosmetology, Electrical Engineering, and Cybersecurity.
The success of Launch Your Journey reflects the commitment of our community to investing strategically in our students' futures. Students will soon begin planning the next academic year; course selection for the upcoming year opens in January following the return from winter break. Check out one of the Launch Your Journey reels on Prosper ISD’s Instagram feed to hear from community members who attended the informational meetings. |
