May 18, 2026 Board Recap Celebrations | | |
| | | | | | | | The Prosper ISD Board of Trustees wants to share an update with the our community regarding a lawsuit filed in 2022 following allegations of abuse by a former district bus driver.
The case, brought by the parents of two Prosper ISD students, has been dismissed.
The Board wants to be clear: the actions of a former employee caused real harm, and this family remains in the Board's thoughts. No legal outcome changes that, and the district will continue to support them. The dismissal affirms that the district acted swiftly and appropriately — contacting law enforcement and child protective authorities immediately, ensuring the employee was arrested and terminated, and prioritizing the privacy and well-being of those impacted. Multiple independent investigations confirmed that district leaders responded decisively the moment they were made aware.
The safety of Prosper ISD students is not something the Board takes for granted. Prosper ISD remains committed to transparency, accountability, and ensuring that every child in its care is protected. | | | | | | | | | | | | Allen Rountree, Place 2 | | | | | | The Board approved a new slate of officers:
