Mrs. Kimberly Newman
Welcome to Hughes Elementary,
I am thrilled to serve as the Principal of Hughes Elementary. I have been in Education for 29 years and have had the privilege of teaching kindergarten through 5th grade. I received my undergraduate degree in Education from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. I have my Masters degree from Walden University in Reading and Literacy. In addition, I am Nationally Board Certified as an early childhood generalist.
I have three children. Two are out of college and enjoying being "adults" and one son who is a sophomore at Prosper Highschool. I love any time I can be with my family! I enjoy reading, traveling and you can usually find me on the soccer field on the weekends.
I look forward to serving our Hughes families during this exciting time of growth for our district and community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions. We are committed to joining forces with you to give our students and children the most memorable and rewarding academic experience possible.
It will be an exciting Spring and I can't wait to start!

Mr. David Bill
I am honored to serve Hughes Elementary as Assistant Principal this year! I believe in servant leadership and the opportunity to serve the families, students, and staff of Hughes is very exciting to me.
This is my 7th year in Prosper ISD and my 18th year in education. My teaching career began in Grosse Ile, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. I taught there for 7 years before my wife got transferred to DFW. Before coming to Prosper, I taught in McKinney ISD for 4 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Iowa State University and a Master's in Elementary Education from Drake University. My administrator's degree is from Lamar University.
My wife's name is Hope and we will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary at the end of August. We live in Plano and have 2 cats named Lucky and Sandy. I was born and raised in the Chicago suburb of Palatine. In my spare time I love to play tennis, read, and travel. I am a huge sports fan and love all teams from Chicago, Detroit and Dallas!
I look forward to partnering with you to achieve Hughes' mission of preparing students who are hardworking, ever-growing, accountable, respectful thinkers.
