Prosper ISD welcomed first-year teachers for a New to Profession session today! These talented individuals chose our district to start their career in education, and we are lucky to have them lead our students this year.
The Board celebrated the Transportation Department for earning the TASB Risk Management Fund Excellence Award and the 2026 National Safety Council Employer Traffic Innovation in Safety Award – recognizing a 42.5% reduction in preventable crash incidents amid rapid district growth. 🚌 Congrats to our team for building a culture where safety is celebrated every day!

The Board of Trustees recognized students who earned the Eagle Scout rank this school year — the highest achievement in Scouts BSA, reached by just 4% of Scouts since 1911. While we were able to honor our other Eagle Scouts at a previous Board meeting, we celebrated Grady McBreen at this month’s meeting. Congratulations to all of our Eagle Scouts on your extraordinary accomplishments!
Congratulations to the Richland High School Speech and Debate Team on being named UIL 4A State Runner-Up, earning 1st and 3rd place finishes in Cross-Examination Debate and a 2nd place finish in Congressional Debate. The Board of Trustees honored the team as a whole at this month’s meeting for this incredible finish. Congrats, Raiders! 🏆

Superintendent Profile developed with input from over 2,100 people.
Impact Education Specialists led more than a dozen in-person input sessions, where nearly 160 people shared their thoughts and hopes for the qualities Prosper ISD needs in its next superintendent. A district-wide survey drew additional input from more than 2,000 staff, parents, and community members.
The superintendent job description is posted, and applications will be accepted through August 14, 2026. The Board will then review applications and begin the interview process, with an anticipated start date in late fall.

The Board recognized Prosper ISD's Business Services team for earning three major financial excellence awards, including the TASBO Purchasing Award of Merit and Award of Excellence in Financial Management (top 7% and top 3% of Texas districts, respectively), plus the ASBO International Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting. Congrats to the team for their outstanding work!
The Rock Hill High School math team brought home a bronze medal from the Academic UIL State Competition, and the calculator applications team claimed the state championship title. Facing top competitors from across Texas, these students are a clear reflection of Prosper ISD's ongoing commitment to academic excellence. Congratulations, Blue Hawks!
The Prosper lacrosse team is state champions! 🥍🥇 The Board of Trustees recently honored the team for its THSLL title. They went 15-3 and won it all — avenging a regular season loss to Keller with a 14-3 win in the championship game after 10 straight victories. The squad finished as the state's top offense (averaging 15 goals per game) while shutting down every playoff opponent defensively. Three players earned individual MVP honors, and seven were named 2026 THSLL All-Stars. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
Two Walnut Grove High School students had an incredible showing at the UIL Academic State Competition, with Lindsay Moffatt bringing home the state championship title in spelling, and Abigail Ryan claiming a bronze medal in Lincoln Douglas Debate. The Board of Trustees recognized both students for their achievements, a great reflection of the talent and hard work happening across Prosper ISD. Congrats, Wildcats!
Congratulations to Richland High School's tennis and softball programs honored at the June Board meeting for their outstanding achievements. 🏆 Tennis standout Amanda Tanaka set a school record with 44 singles wins in one season and swept district and regional titles, while Coach Nicholas Tanner earned Region 3 Girls Tennis Coach of the Year. The softball team went 35-9 in its first-ever season, finishing 4A state runner up with three All State Tournament honorees. Way to go, Raiders!
