💬 A Note from the Principal

Howdy, Bridges Families!

What a fun Homecoming Week at Bridges Middle School! From spirited outfits, the excitement and energy throughout the building, to the homecoming parade, it was wonderful to see our students and families show their school spirit and get involved!

Meanwhile, inside classrooms, everyone has found a groove. Our students are digging deep into the content of each class, and there's high level learning happening across the building every day.

Progress Reports & Eligibility Check

It’s hard to believe, but we are officially past the halfway mark of the first quarter!

  • Progress Reports: Grades for this reporting period will go out this week. It’s a great time to log into Skyward with your child and see how they’re doing.

  • Extracurricular Eligibility: As a reminder, this progress report determines academic eligibility for athletics, fine arts, and upcoming extracurricular activities.

We’re proud of the way our Bulldogs continue to grow as learners and as members of our Bridges community. Thank you for partnering with us to support our students each and every day. We’re excited for all that’s still ahead as we continue #BuildingBridges together!

Students who would like to drop an honors class must see their counselor and then complete a Drop Course Form to be returned by September 23rd. Grades from the dropped class will be transferred to the on level course with a 10 point addition. Please keep in mind that course changes may impact other classes in your child's schedule, including lunch period. Once changes have been made, they cannot be reversed. Schedule changes WILL NOT be made prior to September 25, 2026. After September 23rd, the next window to drop an honors course will be at the semester. If you have questions, please reach out to your child's counselor.

🌟Be Bold, Go GOLD!

Football teams will host their Gold Out games on Tuesday, September 29th, and we’d love for our Bridges community to help us show their support. Tommy Wainwright, an 8th grade athlete at Reynolds and a former student of mine, is courageously battling cancer for the second time. Let’s wear gold, fill the stands, and show Tommy, and all children and families impacted by childhood cancer, that they are surrounded by a community that cares! 💛🐾

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

🫶 THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
