If you would like to provide input on your child's homeroom placement for consideration for next school year, please read below!
Consideration forms can be picked up from our lovely front office team beginning today February 19th through Friday, March 27th. Forms will not be provided electronically. The form is completely optional, and the deadline for forms to be turned in, without exception, is March 27th.
The purpose of this form is to provide you as the parent the opportunity to communicate to the school administrators regarding your child’s unique talents, learning styles, strengths, and interests. We know each child is individually unique and our goal is to provide learning environments that best meet the needs of each child, in order for the highest level of growth to occur. Appropriate placement of each student will be decided upon by campus administrators.
Directions: This form is completely optional. It is not required. The last day for a Consideration Form to be turned in to the front office is Friday, March 27th, 2026. Forms submitted after March 27 will not be considered. Specific teacher names may not be placed on the form. If a specific teacher name is written, the form will not be considered. Email consideration (including emailed forms) will not be considered. Picking up a form in the front office and dropping the form back to the front office between the timeline of February 19th - March 27th, without providing teacher names, is the way to have your information considered. The purpose of this is it facilitates streamlined organization on our end, allowing for an efficient and effective process.
All of our educators and educator teams collaborate and work together to meet the needs of every child in a grade level, and in the school. Although students are assigned a "homeroom" teacher, each of our students will know and work with each teacher in some capacity as we work together to meet individual needs. We know not one person can do everything, but together we can. We trust each of our teachers to provide excellent instruction to our children.
Simply ask Elvia, Scozz, Teraya, or Kelli in the front office for a form when you are ready! Please drop the form back off into the office when you would like to turn it in no later than March 27th.
You can come to Cockrell any time of day to pick up a form when it is most convenient for you!
Remember, the window for form pick up and turn in is February 19th-March 27th.
