Folsom Families,
It's been another great week at Folsom full of lots of learning! Next week we are looking forward to our Glow Run day on Wednesday put on by our PTO for our fundraiser. We are excited for our students to participate in this fun event. Additionally, we had our first Pastries with the Principal Event on Friday - it was truly wonderful to get to spend some time connecting with those of you who were able to join to talk about our goals this year. We will have more Pastries with the Principal events and other ways to give feedback and ask questions. Please know that you can also reach out at any time!

Folsom Features Our students work really hard both inside and outside of school and we want to recognize our students as often as we can! If your student would like to be featured at one of our Folsom Friday Live assemblies this year for an outside of school achievement (such as participation in musical, athletic, leadership, or academic groups/teams/clubs), please email me at aeturner@prosper-isd.net. We can set up a date for your student to be featured at an assembly and he/she can join me on the stage to show pictures of their accomplishment and share what they have learned from the experience! |

Together We Champion One way we champion our student's academic growth and progress is through our teachers working hard to design lessons for our students where they are able to get information about how well they are understanding the concept! Here are second graders working hard to learn number lines and collaborating with each other during the lesson in order to deepen their understanding of the concept and use number lines as a strategy for problem solving. |
Together We Cultivate Our staff cultivate strong connections with their teams and utillie their professional learning community to ensure we are making collaborative decisions regarding student instruction. Our teams meet to look at data taken during our units of study to make plans to adjust instruction, make instructional groupings, and design intervention and enrichment experiences for all of our students. |
Together We Empower Our teacher leadership teams our empowered to help design and deliver professional learning on our campus to all staff members. Members of our guiding coalition met this week to discuss our year long plan for our staff to continue to grow in our ability to design and deliver effective lessons for our students. Our teachers and staff work hard and there is a lot of learning to be done from and alongside each other throughout the year in order to positively impact our students. |
Together We Prosper Our goal is for students to be known, connected, and engaged in school at Folsom. Here are students engaged in learning in a different way using whole body movement in music! Outside of our specials classes, we also want to encourage connection through our house system (we have been giving out lots of house points and will announce our first house winner at the end of September!) and also student clubs. |
