JROTC

A Program Built on Community Support

The program achieved full U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps status after being introduced in the 2022-23 school year, made possible by a sponsorship with the Prosper Education Foundation.

Open to Every Campus

What sets JROTC apart in Prosper ISD is accessibility. While the program is housed at Rock Hill High School, it's open to students from all four Prosper ISD high schools, meaning any Prosper ISD student can take part, no matter which campus they attend.

A Curriculum Built for the Future

The curriculum focuses on leadership, citizenship, personal responsibility, character education, and life skills. Cadets build discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness through rigorous training, from drill and ceremony to physical fitness challenges, and while the program is rooted in military readiness, its overall goal is to give students the tools to explore other pathways and careers after graduation.

Preparing Students for What's Next

Whether cadets go on to serve, study, or start a career, JROTC helps prepare Prosper ISD students for what's next, right in line with the district's commitment to graduating every student college, career, and military ready.

This is Launch Your Journey in action, sponsored by the Prosper Education Foundation and open to cadets across the district.
