Welcome Back!

Amazing Light Farms Families,

It was wonderful seeing so many families on Friday, between our House Rallies and PTO's Boo Bash event. Huge shout out to our PTO for all the preparations that went into a fun and festive evening to connect our school. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!

We are speedily heading toward November, which means we have our annual tribute to veterans, along with Grandparents and Special Friends Days fast approaching. Check the upcoming event dates to make sure you've got them on your calendar!

A few things:

  • Light Farms Elementary is proud to celebrate our veteran family members. Thank you for your service, commitment, and sacrifice for the betterment of our country. Please fill out this form to submit photos for the Veteran's Day slideshow and/or RSVP for the breakfast event.
  • A quick reminder - Parents that sign up to eat lunch with their child may only eat with their own child. Your child's friends may not join unless they have a parent present as well. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

That's all for now. Have a fantastic weekend, and we'll see you soon!

Warmly,

Principal Turner

The fall book fair will be open for shopping November 16-20, which includes our Grandparent and Special Friends days. This year's fair will be cashless! The fair will accept all credit cards, Apple pay, and Scholastic eWallets. Scholastic eWallets are super easy to set up and very convenient for students. No need to worry about sending cash or a credit card with your child. Any leftover money can be used at the Scholastic online store or saved for next year's book fair. Head over to our Scholastic Book Fair homepage to set yours up today! Once you're on the website, scroll down to the pink and red box to set up your eWallet. You can also take a virtual tour of the upcoming book fair!

Light Farms Fall Scholastic Book Fair 2026!

Please let your grandparents and special friends know that this will be a cashless fair. The Light Farms Library gets to keep a portion of the fair's proceeds to purchase new books for the library as well as fund author visits and reading incentive programs. Thanks so much for supporting our Light Farms Library with your book fair purchases! If you have any questions, please reach out to me!

Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

🫶 THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD.
