| | | | | Dear Mustang Families,
One of the things we love about Moseley is that we are intentional about what we want each year of middle school to mean for our students. For our sixth graders, itโs acclimation: What do I need to feel like I belong here? For our seventh graders, itโs being seen: What makes seventh grade worth being - not simply a waiting room for eighth grade? And for our eighth graders, itโs legacy and leadership: What do I want Moseley to become because I was here?
This week, we saw a beautiful example of all three in action at our sporting events. Our athletes shined on the field and court, while our dance team, mascot, and cheerleaders brought Mustang spirit. Our photojournalism students were there capturing the stories, and our sixth graders filled the stands, taking it all in and beginning to see what it means to be a Mustang. Teachers, staff, and administrators showed up to support our students, too - embodying who they are as the adult constant.
Of course, this is just one of the many places where these goals come to life. Every day, in classrooms, hallways, clubs, performances, and countless other moments, our students are finding their place, finding their voice, and beginning to consider the mark they will leave behind. That is what being a Mustang is all about.

Each week, notice the goals and items featured here in order to see the things that matter to us most coming to life! | | | Together We Champion Our goal at Moseley: Every Moseley student experiences consistent support that helps them grow academically and behaviorally. | | | Every Mustang has received a planner to help them stay organized and take ownership of their learning. Each week includes space for students to record classwork, homework, and important due dates for each class period. The planner also includes our campus expectations for entering and exiting the classroom and transitioning between activities, along with our RIDE behavior expectations on the back cover.
We encourage families to make the planner part of their weekly routine. Taking a few minutes to look through it together each week can help students stay organized, reflect on their week, and prepare for what is ahead!
Click the button below for the โฐ 10-Minute Mustang Weekly Check-In - a simple protocol families can use to check in with their middle schooler each week using their Mustang planner. It includes conversation starters to help students reflect on their week, look ahead, and connect their goals to our RIDE expectations. | | | | | | | | | | The Mustang Minga Conversation is a weekly opportunity for you and your student to celebrate their successes, reflect on their choices, and talk about how you can support their continued growth. | | | Less stress, more clarity - that's the goal. This parent-friendly session breaks down what assessments actually tell us about your child, beyond just a number. Learn how to look past test scores and better understand your child's strengths and needs. | | | | Please join us for Moseley Middle School Parent Night! | | | | Together We Cultivate Our goal at Moseley: Every Mustang student experiences belonging- seeing their growth celebrated, known deeply by at least one adult, and valued in our Moseley community. | | | | | | | | | | | Together We Empower Our goal at Moseley: Every adult at Moseley grows in their leadership capacityโequipped with clarity, responsive skills, and the confidence to help students thrive. | | | | | | | Our collaborative teaching teams have dedicated time during the school day to work together, learn from one another, plan, and explore student work and data. This time is about more than simply pacing lessons on a calendar - it is an opportunity for teachers to learn from each other and strengthen their practice so that every teacher can bring their best instruction to the classroom.
In this photo, seventh grade social studies teacher Ms. OโNeal is walking her team through a lesson strategy in which students will break down evidence as part of an inquiry process. When teachers learn from one another, our students benefit from the very best of our collective expertise! | | | Together We Prosper Our goal at Moseley: We will work to ensure that families feel like true partners in their student's Moseley journeyโwelcomed, informed, and invested in their growth from entry through 8th grade. | | | Weโre looking for caring, committed adults to serve as mentors to Prosper ISD students. You donโt need to be a counselor or expert - just someone willing to listen, encourage, and show up consistently. Mentors meet with students on campus during the school day in a structured, supportive environment.
As a mentor, youโll help students feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow into the confident, resilient leaders of tomorrow. We provide all the training and tools - you bring your time and heart.
