| | | | | Dear Mustang Families,
This week was Project Smile Week, sponsored by our campus Hope Squad and Counseling Department, and we certainly had plenty of reasons to smile! We are incredibly proud of the district-wide work of Hope Squad and especially grateful for the exceptional students and staff at Moseley who make the mental health and well-being of our entire campus a priority.
Each morning this week, Hope Squad students and teachers welcomed everyone to campus with bubbles, stickers, and, of course, smiles. Our staff and students joined in dress-up days centered around friendship and community, bringing a little extra joy to our halls. Our administrators, counselors, and campus police officer, Sergeant Bryant, also spent time with our sixth and seventh graders in class meetings focused on being our best selves and living into what it means to be a Mustang.
As we walked around campus this week, we were reminded that sometimes the little things - a smile, a kind word, a greeting at the door, or a reminder that someone matters - can make a really big difference. We are thankful for a week that gave us so many opportunities to connect, care for one another, and, quite simply, smile.

These photos highlight one of our theater classes as students learn the art of pantomime, along with two of our volleyball teams competing this week.
One of the great joys of middle school is the growing amount of choice students have. Whether they find their place on a stage, on a court, in a club, or somewhere else entirely, these experiences give students opportunities to discover their interests, develop their strengths, and learn more about themselves. Every choice is a small step toward becoming the person they want to be and beginning to shape their own plans for the future.
We are proud of our Mustangs for trying new things, finding their people, and letting their individual strengths shine! | | | Optimum's 19th Annual Hispanic Heritage Essay Contest is now open! Middle and high school students are invited to reflect on how Hispanic culture has influenced their lives for a chance to win a $3,000 scholarship, iPads, and more. Submissions are accepted now through October 15, with winners announced in mid-November and celebration events to follow in December. | | | | | | | Together We Empower Our goal at Moseley: Every adult at Moseley grows in their leadership capacityโequipped with clarity, responsive skills, and the confidence to help students thrive. | | | | Meet: Ms. Suggitt Riding With: Graphic Design & Hope Squad The Adult Constant: Ms. Suggitt is one of our Hope Squad teachers, a team lead for one of our CTE teams, and a member of our Behavior Instruction Team. While she wears many hats at Moseley, what stands out most is the way she consistently uses each of those roles to support the growth of both our students and our staff. Whether she is supporting a student in or out of the classroom, helping a colleague grow, or contributing to the systems that help our campus thrive, Ms. Suggitt is an adult our Mustangs can count on. We are grateful for the care, leadership, and constant support she brings to our Moseley community every day. My Favorite Thing About Moseley: Our students aren't afraid to tackle hard things. Our staff leads by example - being vulnerable, honest, and completely dedicated to supporting one another and our students to make the biggest impact possible. Above all, we put the human element first. We know that whether you are a teacher, staff member, or student, your personal needs have to be met before real learning can happen. When our people are supported, our entire community thrives. | | | September is Mental Health Awareness Month!
