We had three entries compete this past weekend at the FCCLA Region III Leadership Conference in Waco. All of the students did an outstanding job and represented Richland extremely well. Of the three entries, two advanced to the state competition.

Students are in for a four-day weekend, with Friday, Feb. 13 set as a staff development day, and Monday, Feb. 16 is officially a school holiday—not a bad-weather makeup day.
What’s next?

☑️ If approved, waivers will be submitted to TEA
☑️ If TEA approves, no additional makeup days or extra instructional minutes will be required

🌧️ Weather Update 6: School Closure - Thursday, January 29, 2026
After carefully assessing current road conditions and reviewing weather forecasts, Prosper ISD will be closed on Thursday, January 29.
We have had dozens of facilities team members working every day to clear sidewalks, doorways, driveways, and parking lots across all campuses. However, the continued cold temperatures have simply not allowed the ice and snow to melt enough for safe passage.
