I hope everyone stayed safe and warm on our two snow days!

As we head back into a full week of school, I want to take a moment to celebrate again the amazing staff here at Rushing Middle School. If you watched the video I sent on Monday (it is included in the button below AND you can listen on super speed if you are short on time!), you will know that we were recently named a Promising Practices School by Solution Tree! As you can see from the map, only 143 out of the over 8000 Texas public schools have earned either the Promising Practices or Model PLC designation.

If you've attended any event on campus*, you've likely heard me talk about our commitment to collaborative teams and continuous learning. This recognition reflects that commitment in action - our staff's dedication to learning together so that all students succeed. Through collaborative teams, a results-orientation and a focus on learning for adults and students, our staff has transformed how we support student success. From our Task Force implementation to our data protocols, this group of professionals has created practices that will serve Rushing students for years to come.

What makes this recognition truly special is that it's not about any one person or leader - it's about the systems and culture our staff has built together. "RushingAllAlways" isn't just a hashtag - it's embedded in how we work together every day. The practices that earned us this designation are now woven into the fabric of who we are as a school, ensuring that Rushing will continue to excel for years to come.
