Stuber Family,

Last week we hosted our first PTO meeting of the year along with our volunteer training. In our 8 years of existence, our cafeteria has never been so full! Thank you to those of you who were able to attend. I left feeling encouraged and so excited for the year ahead. If you have not yet joined PTO, it isn't too late! Our goal is for at least 300 of our Stuber families to join. As of last week, we were more than 1/2 way there. Joining does not equal volunteering. It just means that we have more money to give back to our students to grow programs like Robotics, theater, and yearbook!

Another way you can get involved is by joining my Principal Advisory Team. This small group of parent leaders works with me to help shape the future of our school. During our meetings, you will have the opportunity to hear directly from students and teachers, review campus goals, and discuss current school trends to help guide our next steps. We will meet three times throughout the year in the morning for about one hour, and I promise it will be time well spent! If you are interested in serving on this team, please complete this quick interest form. The form will remain open for two weeks, after which I will reach out with specific meeting dates.

Over the next few weeks, you will learn about even more ways to become involved at Stuber. It is such a wonderful place to be, and I encourage you to find somewhere to plug yourself in. We are better because of our community!

Arrival and dismissal are still going well. However, there are some things we still need to clean up. Help me keep our students and staff safe.

• During arrival, do not let your child out in the parking lot. This is a significant safety concern with cars pulling out of the carline. Use our carlines. They are efficient.
• Do not let your child out on the street. Again, this is a significant safety concern. Use our carlines. They are efficient.
• Do not park on the streets surrounding our school. This includes Highland and Zilker. You are creating a traffic jam and carline cannot get in and out of our driveways.
• If your child is older, consider allowing them to be an unaccompanied walker and meet them off of school property.
• Your car should never go through a crosswalk when our crossing guard is in the middle of the crosswalk. Stop and yield to pedestrians.
• If you live in Artesia, you are eligible for bus service. Buses are always dismissed before carline begins.

I created a short video talking through some of this. Let's clean this up and remember our kids are watching and learning if following rules is important or not. If they see you not following the rules then it makes our job signifcantly more challenging during the school day.

Our clubs are starting to get rolling! In order for your child to participate in a club, we must have the below form filled out. Some clubs require an additional application or audition, however, we still must have this form completed by each student's parent who wishes to participate. More clubs will continue to be added throughout the year.

If you child would like to help greet students at arrival, greet new families when they enroll, and ensure all of our new students feel welcome - this club is a perfect fit! We are looking for 3rd-5th graders who wish to make sure every new student feels welcome in their new home!

Prosper ISD will be enabling pictograph multifactor authentication for our 2nd through 5th-grade students starting August 21st. We will enable these on a per-school basis through August 28th. Click here for more information.

Stuber has a new check in system for all visitors to our campus. I believe you will find the system relatively easy to use and our office staff is always here to help. It is extremely important that you bring your state issued ID with you when visiting our campus so you can check in to our school.

PISD requires each parent volunteer to complete a criminal background check form. In order for parents/guardians to attend field trips, volunteer at school, etc. this form must be completed at the beginning of each school year. The form can be found and completed on the Prosper ISD website here.

In the event you have a transportation change, you will need to fill out the Google Form in the SPARK prior to 2:15 pm on the day of the change. Please do not email your teacher, as they will be unable to check emails during the instructional day and may not get the message in time. All changes must be made through the Google Form prior to 2:15 pm.
