| | | September 6, 2026 Dear Thomson Families,
There is something special about Homecoming week—it’s a time to celebrate school spirit, tradition, and the incredible community we are fortunate to be a part of here in Prosper! This week, we are excited to join in the fun as we celebrate Prosper High School Eagles Homecoming with fun dress-up days throughout the week.
Be sure to check out the dress-up schedule and encourage your child to join in the spirit! On Wednesday morning, we’ll kick off the day with Hairspray Day, provided by our amazing Thomson PTO! Students can bring $1 per color, glitter, or tattoo to get ready for the Homecoming festivities. Be sure to check out the flyer below for all the details!
We are especially excited to cheer on our Prosper High School Eagles at the Homecoming Parade on Wednesday evening. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our youngest students to see themselves as an important part of the larger Prosper community.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating, showing your school spirit, and making memories together. We love being part of the Prosper family!
With gratitude, Zeb Evans Principal

Prosper is proud to have had the #6 speller in the NATION last year from the 10 million students who participated.
The 2026-2027 Prosper ISD Spelling Bee will take place in several levels for students in grades 3rd-8th. At the first level, campuses will host a written test on October 15th during the school day.
The top 20 students from the written test will move on to compete in the Campus Spelling Bee held November 12th in a traditional Spelling Bee oral format. The Champion from each campus will advance to the District Spelling Bee on December 10, 2026.
Parent permission is required for a student to participate in the 26-27 Spelling Bee. Please complete the attached Google form for each 3rd-5th grade student that wishes to participate in the Classroom Bee on October 15, 2026. The list of words to study will be included in the confirmation email sent after submission. Students should study all grade level words and vocabulary to be prepared. | | | | | We’re looking for caring, committed adults to serve as mentors to Prosper ISD students. You don’t need to be a counselor or expert—just someone willing to listen, encourage, and show up consistently. Mentors meet with students on campus during the school day in a structured, supportive environment.
As a mentor, you’ll help students feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow into the confident, resilient leaders of tomorrow. We provide all the training and tools—you bring your time and heart.
Volunteer mentors will: ✅ Meet with students monthly, during the school day, for 30 minutes ✅ Build positive relationships rooted in trust and respect ✅ Serve as role models and champions for student success ✅ Help students develop confidence, character, and connection | | | | | Less stress, more clarity — that's the goal. This parent-friendly session breaks down what assessments actually tell us about your child, beyond just a number. Learn how to look past test scores and better understand your child's strengths and needs. | | | | | | | Applications are open for the Fall 2026 CoServ Energizing Educator award.
This program supports and recognizes outstanding educators who go above and beyond to make a positive impact on their students' lives.
Important Details: Applications close on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 5 p.m.
