Daphne Morris, Principal

I love Light Farms Elementary and I’m humbled to walk through our doors each morning. Our first year has played a pivotal role in a foundation of excellence and I’m excited to begin year two as we continue to SHINE with pride.

Our teachers and staff have a heart for children and their dedication to students reminds me of their sheer greatness. It is a privilege and joy to observe a building of professionals working together to instill a passion in students for life-long learning. We sincerely desire for this time to be one of enjoyment and one that you will remember fondly with a smile.

My nineteen year career in public education has been diverse, allowing me to participate in multiple roles. I have teaching experience primarily as an elementary teacher. I also had the opportunity as an adjunct professor to instruct future educators at the college level. I've served as District Reading Specialist for students in grades Pre-K through 12, worked as an educational consultant, and served as an elementary principal in the Austin, TX area. I am an honors graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies comprised of a dual major in reading and early childhood. I earned M.Ed degrees in curriculum and administration, and I am a certified Reading Specialist in the state of Texas.

My husband and I reside in Prosper and are proud of our community, particularly Prosper ISD's stellar reputation. We have two daughters currently attending college. We also have three boys (some would refer to as dogs) named Pudge, Rocco and Winston who are rotten to the bone!

The classroom holds the magic of learning and my best hours are those spent with students. I communicate weekly with our families and do my best to capture what’s happening so that we may visit through writing. If you signed up for email communication when enrolling, these messages will be delivered to the selected email address. You may also access these same messages by logging onto our Prosper ISD web page. Select “Our Schools” and click on “Light Farms Elementary.” On the bottom left-hand side, there’s a tab labeled “Discover Light Farms.” Look for “Principal’s Message” and there you will find the current week’s message along with archived communications as well.

Mrs. Haley Stelly

Hello, Light Farms Families!

I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Light Farms Elementary this year, as I begin my tenth year in education.

My husband, Tim, and I reside in Prosper, and we have an adorable three year old daughter, Emma, and recently welcomed our precious baby boy, Luke, last spring.  I grew up in Keller, Texas, where most of my family still lives, and I enjoy spending time with them whenever I can.  I graduated from Baylor University (Sic 'Em Bears!) with my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and spent five years teaching third grade at Baker Elementary in Prosper ISD.  I received my Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University in 2011 and served as the Assistant Principal at Rucker Elementary in Prosper ISD for the past four years.

I feel blessed to have the opportunity to serve students and live out my passion each day!  I strive to positively impact the lives of children during their elementary educational journey.  It is very important to me to create partnerships with the families of the students I serve.  Through these partnerships, we will be able to develop optimum learning opportunities for your children.  I look forward to serving our Light Farms students and working with each of your families this year!

Sincerely,

Haley Stelly
