Boyer kindergarteners learned about non fiction books in the library. They got to check out a non fiction book and also shared what they would like to research and write a book about.

Mrs. Honaker’s fourth graders collaborated with their peers using vertical boards to cerate topic sentences in ELAR this week. They showed great teamwork!

Mrs. Barrett's Bobcats have been learning about tools that scientists use. They got to explore science tools and how they work. They loved getting to test out goggles, observe rocks with magnifying glasses, use balance scales to measure and use pipettes to move water. They LOVE Science!

5th grade mathematicians have been working hard mastering decimal place value! Students used a giant life sized number line in the 5th grade hallway to locate decimals to the thousandths place. They had great conversations about how they knew where their number belonged on the number line using benchmark fractions as their guide.

First Graders in Mrs. Caldwell's class made ice cream for their heating and cooling unit last week. It was the best way to end a short week!


September is National Suicide Prevention Month. Together, we can make a difference by supporting one another, raising awareness, and prioritizing mental health. Let’s always choose kindness and compassion.


Third Graders in Mrs. McClung's class worked with partners on matter vocabulary by matching words, definitions and images.

Second graders in Mrs. Heaton’s class had so much fun learning how to represent numbers in flexible ways! They used base ten blocks, Braining Camp, and vertical white boards to check for understanding and learn from one another. Their favorite part was playing musical boards and coming up with different ways to compose and decompose numbers with their friends!







Students in Miss Madden's third grade class had fun playing "Place Value Headbands" game. In this game students had to guess the number on their head by asking each other questions about their number.
