Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Eagan's class. They are learning about animals and habitats. They are reading Rainbow Fish to extend learning. This book talks about kindness and sharing. Through play, they are practicing communicating kindness in many different ways.

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟 is Mrs. Dyer's class. They are expanding communication and social skills during morning meeting while singing their name song. They are using visual schedules to increase independence while rotating through centers. Students have been enjoying hands-on activities such as exploring ocean animal letters in the sensory bin and sorting farm animals by color. #CalhounConnects

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟 is Ms. Dixon's class. They spent this week discovering the story of The Three Little Pigs. We read 4 different versions of the story and compared the characters, setting and story sequence of each version. Students then went to centers and created the characters in the Art Center and built houses using different materials in the Building & Cars center. This week’s activities were designed to strengthen students’ reading comprehension and critical thinking skills by comparing multiple versions of The Three Little Pigs, while also encouraging creativity, collaboration, and hands-on problem-solving through art and building centers. #CalhounConnects

She shared "Our classroom took flight! ✈️🗺️🌍 Through imaginative, hands-on experiences, and real-world learning connections, students explored transportation while fostering curiosity and creativity. Throughout the week, they prepared for their “trip” by choosing their destination and creating their own luggage and so much more! From check-in to arrival, learners practiced communication and real-world skills as play-based learning turned our classroom into an airport with a destination to the most magical place on earth! ❤️🐭🏰✨#CalhounConnects
