Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Ms. Dodson's class. They spread the love while turning candy hearts into math magic! By sorting, graphing, counting, and recording data, they strengthened number sense and fine-motor skills to collaborate and compare graphs with friends.

She shared "Our classroom took flight! ✈️🗺️🌍 Through imaginative, hands-on experiences, and real-world learning connections, students explored transportation while fostering curiosity and creativity. Throughout the week, they prepared for their “trip” by choosing their destination and creating their own luggage and so much more! From check-in to arrival, learners practiced communication and real-world skills as play-based learning turned our classroom into an airport with a destination to the most magical place on earth! ❤️🐭🏰✨#CalhounConnects

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟 is Mrs. Ceron's class. Their class enthusiastically collaborated during our transportation unit by using their imaginations in dramatic play. They explored roles like conductors , pilots, and passengers. They worked together to sort a variety of transportation vehicles by land, air, and water, strengthening early math and teamwork skills. Students also created data charts showing their favorite ways to travel. #CalhounConnects #CalhounClassConnection

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Chong's class. Their students are exploring how planes fly by learning how air and wind move objects. After creating their own airplanes, they’re excited to test them and see what they discover through hands-on, student-led exploration.
Students are in for a four-day weekend, with Friday, Feb. 13 set as a staff development day, and Monday, Feb. 16 is officially a school holiday—not a bad-weather makeup day.

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟 is Mrs. Caeg's class. Students are fostering curiosity and problem solving by manipulating ramps to determine which vehicle goes faster and why. Students collaborate to spell words and sound out the letters as they form them.
