Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟 is Mrs. Moreno's class. They used animal counters to compare numbers and decide which were greater than, less than, or equal to each other. Students practiced building numbers, writing them on their whiteboards, and explaining their thinking.
We worked as a whole group, with partners, and in small groups, using lots of math talk to justify our answers and help each other think through tricky comparisons. There was so much great math thinking, collaboration, and number sense happening today.

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Lewis' class. Our Pre-K builders brought The Three Little Pigs to life using giant Lincoln Logs! Through pretend play, students practiced storytelling and using teamwork. They also built different types of habitats for their animals!

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Hummel's class. Her class decided to create a movie theatre in the dramatic play space, complete with tickets and popcorn. The following day, Mrs. Hummel proposed that they create a "movie" on bulletin board paper using storytelling criteria. The children worked together to create a magical experience. This play created opportunities for many executive functioning skills, literacy skills, and imagination! #CalhounConnects
