Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Lewis' class. Our Pre-K builders brought The Three Little Pigs to life using giant Lincoln Logs! Through pretend play, students practiced storytelling and using teamwork. They also built different types of habitats for their animals!
Big news for our Prosper ISD community! 🦅 We just earned the Model PLC District distinction—one of only 8 districts in all of Texas to earn this.

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Kiser's class. Their class wrote to the zoo asking for a pet and the zoo sent an animal to each student. They built a home for their pet and wrote about the animal's habitat and what it likes to eat. #CalhounConnects
Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Remya's class. Her class is strengthening their “Great 8” executive functioning skills while exploring math concepts, practicing CVC words, and learning about animals and their habitats through centers and collaborative activities.
Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Hummel's class. Her class decided to create a movie theatre in the dramatic play space, complete with tickets and popcorn. The following day, Mrs. Hummel proposed that they create a "movie" on bulletin board paper using storytelling criteria. The children worked together to create a magical experience. This play created opportunities for many executive functioning skills, literacy skills, and imagination! #CalhounConnects

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Henry's class. Her class is mastering subitizing in the math center this week! Our little mathematicians are rolling dice and quickly matching the dots with animal counters to build strong number sense. #CalhounConnects
Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Gonzalez's class. Students are getting creative and collaborating on how to build fences for farm animals with clothespins and popsicle sticks at the construction center. This task fosters teamwork and collaboration. #CalhounConnects
Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mr. Gonzalez's class. Their class collaborated to design their own vehicles and bring their vision to life. The students enjoyed the process of building their vehicles and were proud to share the final result. #CalhounConnects

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Grant's class. Students demonstrated curiosity as they explore pictures of baby animals and their adult counterparts. After reading a story on baby animals, they described the features of each animal and discussed how the baby and adult animals are alike and different. By collaborating with one another, they thoughtfully pair the pictures together to match each baby animal with its adult. #CalhounConnects
