Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Grant's class. Students demonstrated curiosity as they explore pictures of baby animals and their adult counterparts. After reading a story on baby animals, they described the features of each animal and discussed how the baby and adult animals are alike and different. By collaborating with one another, they thoughtfully pair the pictures together to match each baby animal with its adult. #CalhounConnects

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟is Mrs. Eagan's class. They are learning about animals and habitats. They are reading Rainbow Fish to extend learning. This book talks about kindness and sharing. Through play, they are practicing communicating kindness in many different ways.

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟 is Mrs. Dyer's class. They are expanding communication and social skills during morning meeting while singing their name song. They are using visual schedules to increase independence while rotating through centers. Students have been enjoying hands-on activities such as exploring ocean animal letters in the sensory bin and sorting farm animals by color. #CalhounConnects

Today's 🌟Calhoun Class Connection🌟 is Ms. Dixon's class. They spent this week discovering the story of The Three Little Pigs. We read 4 different versions of the story and compared the characters, setting and story sequence of each version. Students then went to centers and created the characters in the Art Center and built houses using different materials in the Building & Cars center. This week’s activities were designed to strengthen students’ reading comprehension and critical thinking skills by comparing multiple versions of The Three Little Pigs, while also encouraging creativity, collaboration, and hands-on problem-solving through art and building centers. #CalhounConnects
