Folsom teachers are learners and leaders! This week our staff learned more about student clubs, teams met to use data to create targeted plans for instruction, and our Guiding Coalition met to plan professional learning for our campus this year. Together, we move mountains🏔️.
So much learning to be found at Folsom. Real world estimation, using context clues to figure out unknown words, number lines, new experiences in specials, and even reading to our Kindergarteners! We are so proud of our hard working students and teachers.
Today our mentor and new to teaching teachers got a special visit and check in! We have the very best staff and we appreciate the support and recognition of their hard work.

From safety patrol and learning (for both students and staff) to new to Folsom lunches and Watch Dog Dads - it was a great week at Folsom Elementary!
Finding out our house for the year is so exciting! We are home of the FIERCE!
Together we cultivate strong instructional alignment across our building in order to strengthen our instructional practices! On Wednesday teams of teachers - lead by our team leaders - met to prepare for year-long work and collaboration on writing.
This week our students have been problem solving, explaining and representing their thinking with words and manipulatives, and collaborating in order to grow their skills. We are proud of our FIERCE mathematicians and the teachers who guide them.
The first two weeks of the year were full of connection, learning, and reading! Students are setting up their book boxes, settling into daily reading routines, and checking out books in the library.
Day ✌️at Folsom brought live announcements, morning meetings, lots of learning, and connection at lunch and recess!
First day smiles at Folsom! We loved having our students back today - getting settled into new classrooms, meeting friends, and enjoying time all together. We had a fierce first day of the 26-27 school year!
In addition to preparing the physical building,our staff prepared for high levels of collaboration in order to design and deliver the best learning experiences for our students.
Thankful to PTO for taking care of us by doing many bulletin boards and providing treats and support!
Our very dedicated staff(with the support of our amazing PTO) worked hard all week to get ready for one of the best nights of the year. We LOVED welcoming all of our Fierce Folsom families back into the building at Meet the Teacher. We are so excited for our first day Tuesday!🏔️

🎻 Reminder for incoming kindergarten families! 🎻 Interested in Prosper ISD’s Suzuki Strings Program? Join us for the information meeting this Thursday, June 4, at 9:30 AM at Windsong Ranch Elementary.
Prosper ISD’s Suzuki program introduces young students to violin through the renowned Suzuki Method, which emphasizes parent involvement, individualized instruction, listening, and a positive learning environment. Parents must attend the meeting this Thursday to submit an application for the 2026-2027 school year. We hope to see you there!
