Week 6 of "Lunch and Leadership" with Coach Matusik, and 21 young leaders showed! Today they focused on debate, making arguments for the side you agree with but also for the opposite. What an awesome opportunity for our Hawks!

Teachers of the Week ... ca-caw! 🏐🏈

Our 8th grade Superintendent Advisory Council representatives had their first meeting today. We know they'll do a great job representing Hays and sharing student voice this year!

🕰️ Students in Ms. Milbern's class at Spradley Elementary explored the importance of timelines in social studies! They created personal timelines featuring key moments from their lives, telling their own unique stories. ✨ The creativity and hard work were clear in every finished project! 🙌📖#prosperproud

We had our first Pep Rally today! We Blued out Hays, had performances by our Sapphires, cheerleaders, and band. The Hope Squad presented the chain of Hope, a pledge signed by our Hawks during mental health awareness week and we heard from Cross Country, Football and Volleyball!

📚The amazing students at Furr Elementary have been busy building their reading stamina and diving into the parts of a story! They identified the beginning, middle, and end, and even discovered the problem and solution. ✨ We’re so proud of their hard work and reading skills! 👏#prosperproud

Please help us welcome Officer Emily Carrasquillo to our Hays team!

Our Lost & Found, located in the cafeteria, is already filling up! If your child is missing an item, please have them check the Lost & Found. We have lots of water bottles and lunch boxes, pencil pouches, sweatshirts, shoes, and other items waiting to be claimed by their owners!

This week our athletes participated in a workshop with leaders from the Positive Coaching Alliance. The emphasis was on sportsmanship, being coachable, and being an excellent teammate. Character matters!
