Our 4th graders had an unforgettable adventure on their field trip to the Fort Worth Stockyards and the Doss Heritage Museum! Students stepped back in time as they explored the rich history of Texas cattle drives, cowboy life, and frontier traditions. At the Stockyards, they were thrilled to witness a real longhorn cattle drive up close and learn how the Fort Worth “Cowtown” earned its name. At the Doss Heritage Museum, students dug deeper into local history through hands-on exhibits, artifacts, and storytelling that brought the past to life. It was a day full of discovery, learning, and Texas pride.
