Baker Teacher Recognized by Pinstack

Every year, thousands of parents and students nominate exceptional educators for the Pinstack teacher appreciation contest.  This year, Baker Elementary's Ashlyn Ellis was one of the honored recipients of the recognition.

Ashlyn serves Baker students as a 3rd grade teacher. She was nominated by Shelai Mullins who wrote, "My youngest has only been to 5 days of school so far this year because of a health issue.  Ms. Ellis does not really know my daughter, but has made it her job to check on her every day, drop off notes from the class and fun things for her to work on.  She has come up with alternate plans/ideas to keep her involved all while keeping her class of close to 30 kids feeling special as well.  I'm so grateful that she has chosen to be a teacher.  My daughter feels extremely loved and is so excited to get better and go to school.  She's never been excited about going to school.  Also, it takes someone special to handle parents of a sick child who are struggling.  She gives me hope and pep talks daily.  I'm just so impressed and grateful that she is our daughter's teacher."

Ashlyn was recognized on campus by corporate representative receiving a Pinstack gift basket and gift certificate.
