🗳️ Today is National Voter Registration Day! With Prosper ISD spanning both Collin and Denton counties, it’s important to make sure your voter registration is up to date so your voice is heard in the community you call home.

Second graders in Mrs. McClung's class worked individually or in partners to create contractions in ELAR. They were able to check their work using their anchor charts in their phonics journals. Mrs. McClung said she loved hearing them give one another encouraging feedback!

Mrs. Scott’s 4th graders became scientists today! They used all kinds of tools to discover how to separate mixed-up matter. Separating mixtures = serious science fun!!

Ms. Miller's class participated in Scholastic's StoryVoice last Friday with authors Peter H. Reynolds and Marc M. Colagiovanni sharing their book "The Reflection in Me." After the authors read the story, Peter taught students how to draw the mirror from the story with their own reflection. This book is all about positive self-talk which was perfect on Sept. 12, National Day of Encouragement.










Fourth graders in Mrs. Wade's class worked together using the Round Robin strategy to practice rounding numbers in math last week. What a fun way to work on rounding skills!

Boyer kindergarteners learned about non fiction books in the library. They got to check out a non fiction book and also shared what they would like to research and write a book about.

Mrs. Honaker’s fourth graders collaborated with their peers using vertical boards to cerate topic sentences in ELAR this week. They showed great teamwork!

Boyer 5th graders have been working hard each morning doing our Boyer Broadcast. They are in front of the camera and also work behind the scenes!

Mrs. Barrett's Bobcats have been learning about tools that scientists use. They got to explore science tools and how they work. They loved getting to test out goggles, observe rocks with magnifying glasses, use balance scales to measure and use pipettes to move water. They LOVE Science!
