Boyer Second Graders had fun doing a scavenger hunt in the library! They had to read the clues and find the numbers around the library. This activity helped them to learn their way around our amazing library!

Your family is invited to create a storybook pumpkin to plant in the Storybook Pumpkin Patch in the Boyer library for the month of October! This is something that is optional and done at home. Your family can choose a character from a book and then transform a pumpkin into that character.
You must use a plastic or styrofoam pumpkin. No real pumpkins will be accepted.
The storybook character pumpkin can be dropped off in the library anytime beginning Monday, September 29 and will be displayed through Friday, October 31.
There will be prizes for winning pumpkins!

Jersey day is tomorrow!

Second Graders in Mrs. McElreath’s class built bridges in Science class using materials that had physical properties that would be strong and hold up heavy easers. Students worked as a team to plan a blueprint, gather materials and then make their design. Teamwork, learning and fun, the perfect combination!

Last week in ELAR Mrs. Cox's 4th grade classes worked together in groups to write their SPOs on vertical boards. This was a fun way for everyone to see and share ideas about creating topic sentences, finding supporting details and then coming up with a conclusion as a team. They got to talk, take turns and help each other, which made learning more exciting and teamwork stronger!
