Hello, I am Coach Sands and grew up in Carrollton, TX.  I played Tennis at Hebron High School all four years and then played in College.  I played for Goucher College in Baltimore, MD and Carthage College in Kenosha, WI.  I was a four time 1st team all conference selection in both Singles and Doubles.  Our college team qualified for the NCAA tournament all four years.  I have been a teaching professional at Gleneagles Country Club and have been a teacher/coach the last 14 years.  I have been married to my amazing wife, Taylor Allen for 3 years and we have 1 dog, Thunderbolt!

I have been in education for six years, and the past two years, have been at Prosper ISD. I have also coached for Cleveland ISD and Melissa ISD. Some of my favorite things about coaching are seeing kids grow in skill and character during the season and watching them meet/exceed their goals, the glow on their faces after a big win and the high fives as soon as they come off of the court, and seeing them encourage one another from the sidelines. I love the days where I see both the sunrise and the sunset from the tennis courts. I played tennis at Harding University where we won two conference championships while I was there, and I was recognized as an NCAA All Academic team member. I am married to the most wonderful and supporting man, Zach Singer. We enjoy staying active by playing tennis, pickleball, volleyball, and running 5k-half marathons together.
