  • Michael Sain Named New Assistant Athletic Director

Prosper ISD today announced that Michael Sain has been selected as the district’s new Assistant Athletic Director. Sain most recently served at Little Elm High School as the Campus Athletic Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and the District Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.

“We are very excited to welcome Coach Sain to the Prosper ISD family.  He has served in an administrative role on a large campus for the last five years and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in many areas. He will be able to step right in and make an immediate impact on our Coaches and, most importantly, our kids,” said Prosper ISD Athletic Director, Valerie Little.

Sain’s experience ranges from middle school to high school in both boys and girls programs in a multitude of sports. With almost 15 years of educational and coaching experience, his knowledge and experience will benefit the Prosper ISD Athletic Department as the district opens its 2nd and, very soon thereafter, its 3rd large high school while seeking to maintain the same high standards of education and performance to which the Prosper community has become accustomed.

Coach Sain graduated from Arkansas Tech University with his Bachelor of Arts in History Education in 2006. A few years later, he earned his Master of Education Administration from Lamar University.

Sain is married to wife, Brandi, and together they have two sons, Luke (3) and Cole (2). He will officially begin at Prosper on March 26th.

  • Valerie Little Named THSADA Region 3 Administrator of the Year

Prosper ISD is proud of the opportunities, experiences, and excellence that district athletes receive through participation in Prosper ISD Athletics. None of these would be possible without a quality administrator at the helm.

In March of 2017, Prosper made an exemplary selection with the hire of District Athletic Director (AD), Valerie Little. In February, the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association (THSADA) validated the quality of that hire by announcing that Coach Little has been named as the Region 3 Regional Athletic Administrator of the Year. THSADA is the professional and education association for more than 1,200 secondary athletic administrators encompassing more than 1,800 schools and eight regions across Texas.Valerie Little

Coach Little served as a basketball and track coach for nine years before moving to McKinney in 2006 to become an Assistant Campus Coordinator. She worked her way up the ranks becoming the Title IX Coordinator and Assistant AD in 2010 before being named the Associate Director of Athletics in 2011 where she served until coming to lead the Prosper program in 2017.

Since arriving in Prosper, Coach Little has been instrumental in the development and growth in multiple programs which helped the district earn the coveted UIL Lone Star Cup for the 2018-2019 school year. She oversees an athletic department that includes 12 campus coordinators, with the openings of Rushing Middle School and Rock Hill High School, many coaches, athletic trainers and support staff as well as coordinating activities at the district’s athletic facilities.

Coach Little said she is "very humbled to receive such an honor from my peers in Region 3. When I consider the caliber of all of the nominees, it is quite overwhelming! This award has nothing to do with me personally. It is a testament to the amazing student athletes, coaches, parents, and administrators who make this place as special as it is to garner this type of recognition.  Thank you again to my peer Athletic Directors for this honor and thank you to Prosper ISD for this opportunity."
