The Prosper ISD Department of Advanced Academics is part of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. It includes Advanced Placement (AP ) courses, Pre-Advanced Placement (PAP) courses, Dual Credit courses, and the Gifted and Talented program.
Our students must be prepared for future careers in fields that may or may not currently exist. To assist students in their preparation for the future, Prosper ISD provides opportunities for students to be challenged at high levels, develop grit, know how to work independently and with groups, be creative problem solvers, be innovative in their thinking, and understand the different technologies and how to best use them to aid them in advancing their efforts. Prosper ISD offers a wide range of advanced academic opportunities for students to enrich their learning, appeal to their interests, and meet their personal goals. We encourage our students to pursue their interests through our advanced academic opportunities.
