Eagle Express ~ April 18, 2019
Election Time...As most of you know, Prosper ISD is the fastest growing school district in the D/FW Metroplex, growing almost 20% per year, or 2,500-3,000 new students each year. Prosper ISD current enrollment sits at 14,761 students. The District’s demographer estimates by the year 2025 student enrollment will be nearly 33,000 students.
This election is an opportunity for you to weigh in regarding how you would prefer for the district to best handle the student growth. Early voting begins Monday, April 22nd and extends through April 30th.
If you have any questions about any aspects of the bond issue (www.prosperisdbond.net), this information, or any other District issues, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via Eagle Chat online or to me directly at email@example.com. Regardless of how you vote, we encourage everyone to voice their opinion and participate in the District’s decisions.
Whether the bond does or does not pass, the tax rate will not increase. Furthermore, the tax rate is capped (by state law) at a $1.67, where it has been since 2007.
Let us know if you have any questions.
