Migrant Educational Program

  • The goal of the Migrant Education Program is to ensure that all migrant students reach challenging academic standards and graduate with a high school diploma (or complete a GED) that prepares them for responsible citizenship, further learning, and productive employment.

    Migrant Education Links and Resources

    The Title I Migrant Education Program (MEP) supports the state and local programs that meet the special educational needs of the migratory children of farm workers (including migratory daily workers and fisherman as identified in the district). Migrant funded districts are trained in the areas of concern as identified by the U.S. Office of Migrant Education (OME), which include:

    • Instructional Time
    • School Engagement
    • English Language Development
    • Educational Support in the Home
    • Health
    • Access to Services
