Life Skills (LS)

  • This instructional setting provides specially designed instruction in the areas of academics, adaptive behavior, social, self-help, communication, and independent living skills to students with significant cognitive impairments.  Instruction in the Life Skills Classroom focuses on helping students achieve the highest level of academic progress possible while also teaching and practicing functional routines with the ultimate goal of students being able to independently generalize skills across domestic, recreational, and vocational settings to the maximum extent possible.
