HIGHLIGHTS: Roger's Student is Headed to Compete at the Masters in Augusta

Prosper’s ISD's Carson James, a Rogers Middle School 7th Grader, is a national finalist for Drive, Chip, and Putt and is headed to compete at the Masters.

Carson will be competing at the Augusta National on Sunday, April 2nd. Drive, Chip and Putt finals will be featured on the Golf Channel with coverage starting at 8:00 am EST. 

The event is a national skills competition hosted by The Masters, USGA, and PGA of America. They have 3 different levels of qualifiers - Local, Sub-Regionals, and Regionals. Finals are held the Sunday before the first practice round at Augusta National. Participants will get 2 drives, 2 chips, and finish with 2 putts on the 18th green.  

There are two different age groups. Carson is 1 of 10 finalists in the Boys 12-13 division.
