Highlights: Families Continue to Choose Prosper ISD

A record-setting number of families continue to choose Prosper ISD for their educational home for the district’s nationally ranked academics, athletics and fine arts programs.

Thousands of families have moved their families from across the US and the world to Prosper ISD in recent years. Most of these families investigate schools and choose Prosper for the quality of the school system and the opportunities provided to students. Since 2012, a mere 10 years ago, Prosper ISD has enrolled 20,000 students, taking the total number of students over 25,000. Between September 2021 and September 2022, the district enrolled 3,340 students - a new record for the number of students enrolled in a 12-month period.

Dr. Ferguson with HasiniAmidst the record-setting growth, the district met another milestone by enrolling the 25,000th student on November 1, 2022. Superintendent of School Dr. Holly Ferguson stopped by Hays Middle School to visit with the 25,000th student, seventh grader Hasini Junjarampalli, who moved to the district from Frisco.

“Hasini is an incredibly mature and intelligent young lady. She researched the area herself, and collaborated with her family to choose the home and district that they felt was best for her. We are excited to have her as our 25,000th student. After 10 minutes with her, it was evident that she is a hard-working young lady committed to her educational future,” Dr. Ferguson said.
