News: Elementary Attendance Boundaries Finalized
The Prosper ISD School Board approved the Elementary Attendance Boundaries at the monthly meeting on December 12, 2022. These boundaries include the two new elementary campuses that will open in the fall of 2023.

News: Proposed Elementary Boundaries
As our district continues to grow, each year brings adjustments to our attendance zones. In Fall 2023, the district will open two new elementaries, which will impact attendance boundaries. In addition, the district needs to balance enrollment in one additional attendance zone. The district is now providing information to families about proposed changes in the attendance boundaries of some of our elementaries.

News: Approved Middle School Attendance Boundaries
The Prosper ISD Board of Trustees approved middle school attendance zones for the 2023-2024 school year. While the district's 5th middle school will not open until the fall of 2024, campus numbers necessitated a change to best accommodate student growth.

Highlights: Prosper ISD's Music Education Program Receives National Recognition for 5th Consecutive Year
Prosper ISD has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education for the 5th consecutive year. Now in its 23rd year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.

Highlights: Prosper ISD Receives Top National Rating
Prosper ISD has been named one of the top 10 Best School Districts in Texas and the 5th best school district for athletes in Texas. The district took the #1 ranking for Best School Districts for Athletes in Collin County and the #2 ranking for Best School Districts in which to teach in Collin County.

There is a growing threat in North Texas to the health and safety of our children that we want to bring to your attention. Governor Greg Abbott launched a statewide “One Pill Kills” campaign to raise awareness of the deadly synthetic opioid fentanyl. Fentanyl is now the number one cause of overdose deaths in the country, surpassing heroin.

News: Walnut Grove Principal Named
Mr. Dustin Toth has been named as the Walnut Grove High School Principal. Mr. Toth currently serves as the first principal of Rock Hill High School, which opened in 2020. He has more than 18 years of experience in public education as a teacher, coach, and administrator.

News: 2023-2024 High School Attendance Boundaries

Highlights: Prosper ISD reduces tax rate for the third year in a row
The Prosper Board of Trustees adopted the Tax Rate at $1.4429, combining a Maintenance & Operations rate of $0.9429 and an Interest & Sinking rate of $0.50. This represents a reduction of 1.74-cents from the previous year, and a 12.55-cent decrease from 2019-20.
